In the wake of the 2016 US presidential election, Swing Left was formed as a resource for progressives to find opportunities to support left-leaning candidates for the House of Representatives in districts that Trump won by a small margin.
We wanted the brand to feel political in a fresh way and to communicate progress, unity, and hope.
The site launched on Inauguration Day in 2017, and exceeded 150,000 e-mail sign-ups in the first three days and 300,000 in the first three weeks. The organization has garnered a huge array of press, including articles in The New Yorker, The Guardian, Salon, Fast Company, and in many others.
